Rules and Regulations **MUST READ** (Update)

Before I type anything, I'd like to go ahead and welcome you to the group! We admins are friendly and understanding and we will make sure that no rule goes unprofessionally or beyond extreme. Your worries are ours and we'll work together as a family to get beyond it.

Some might say getting personal is what destroys a team, but I think differently. With the right discipline and commitment, I think one can achieve more than self-achievement but a team effort.

Now with that said, I shall go ahead and explain what's allowed, what isn't and the rules that follows.

As you know, we have a Deviant Art TOS; so I think I speak for myself when I say "you better read it." If not well that's your own endangerment.

What we allow are Canon and OC's of the Ace Attorney Franchise, we also allow adult material, but of course in the sense that everything must have a mature tag mark on your deviation submissions.

With it being said that this place allows adult material, this is not exactly your average roleplay group, but, then again, neither was Ace Attorney itself.

We, the admins, believe that Ace Attorney has a lot of dark corners not truly fulfilled and without a somewhat mature or adult mind set, you the one playing or roleplaying probably could not comprehend it. After all, everyone has a different idea of how the villains in the series work, do we not? Even the most basic ones that seem not too hurtful.

The game was intended for Teens and up, thus why I so passionately wish to push on the "Adult" feeling of this group roleplay.

That is also why 18 or older groups of people are highly advised to join this. If, by any chance, you lie under oath during your join and we find out otherwise, we will ban you. So I would highly suggest that if not mature enough to join, don't do so.

Now as I said before, we allow OC's but here's the catch. This is where the rules begin to play out.

OC requirements

-They must not be automatically in a relationship with a canon
I think I speak for myself when I know it's just plain cheating to keep a Canon character to yourself. Nor can the OC's be a sibling or a sister to the other Canons, that's just not right.

-We will only allow twenty OC's to join.
Don't worry about this too much, considering that most people get uninterested in an OC after a while, they'll probably leave eventually and you can take the spotlight next.

- The OC can have a background and bio, however, do not force them to read it to know the character.
Believe it or not, a character can be known just by speaking with them, if they were a part of a complicated case, it's best to just find that out after speaking for a bit; besides, if your OC's a villain, think of all the fun you could have with your unknowing victims.

-No God-Modding, Mary Sues or Gary Stu's
There's usually a specific rule base for what those are but don't worry about it too much; we're not that picky when it comes down to it. But if we notice you becoming "over-the-top" -if not by reading your bio out of curiosity- you're going to banned immediately, no exceptions. I would reason with someone over the issue, but usually it never works out that way.

- No Super Powers.
We want you to be creative, we do, but let's remember what fandom this is, it's a law game... I don't think people have "super powers" here.. Even if it is the future.

- Only roleplay Four OC's on here with one person
I allow this many because the creator of this group has three Ace Attorney OC's, so it be wrong to say any lower. However, do know that having more accounts will be harder on you to keep up. So if you can't do the task, don't.

Now onto Canon Character rules.
(They obviously are different but also have a few rules that need to be the same.)

- Be in Character, please.
I honestly can't stress this enough. I mean, we're going to study you on how you roleplay the character first, so we know how you'll do, but if you join and suddenly just go completely OOC, we're just going to be, well, confused. So you'll be getting a warning... How the warnings work? Well, we'll get to those in the main rule area.

- Have a proper Head-Canon journal (it just helps)
This is a bit different when it gets down to it with OC's. Not that we're saying we have to read Canon head-canons, but it would help. Whether you want to have one up is up to you, but in the end, this would help you in the long-run if in case you forget how to be in character.

- They cannot be automatically in love with an OC or Canon
This same rule applies for OC's in a sense, only they have it a bit different. An OC can have an automatic relationship with another OC, but Canon's with OC's or Canon's needs to develop within the group. However there are two people who can escape this with an exception, we'll get to those later on.

- You can only roleplay two Canon accounts
Same rule applies in the sense of why just again, it will be harder on you.

- No God-Modding
Read the same rule for OC's

- No Super Powers
Look at OC's rules for this one as well.

- No Age-Play Account Manipulation
Basically saying; you can play young Ema, but you can't control adult ema too as that same person. This causes an odd idea to control a character for Canon to be somewhat of an OC, we wouldn't be happy seeing that honestly.

Main Rules to Follow.

-Be an Adult or at least have a Mature Mind
This can go many ways, it can be as simple as overly grossing out over a dark matter that's a part of this group, like say for instance a murder for a plain example. (Or other dark things) or you're just simply way underage and act childish and text 'lik dis'. We won't have any of that. You must know by now that if you are found young or beyond a mature mind, you will be banned. By joining, you also realize you're under our order and care. Should you be afraid? No, we won't ban you instantly for any stupid actions, but if it pursues it will be bad. Usually we'll know instantly if you can take the adult material because we will be giving a slight Survey via note.

- The Survey Must Fit Our Standards
Again, just answer truthfully, if you can't take this survey and realize the roleplay group's too dark; just reply and say you can't do it. We'll understand, what we will be doing here is not exactly kid-friendly ALL the time. We'll be sending the survey via note by the way.

- Both Admins (Sarah and I) must accept you in during a roleplay segment in chat or note discussion
I will be making this chat as a way to see how you roleplay, if not you can always just send a note too, it works just as fine; just give an example and more then likely you'll be in but know that you have to send it to both of us; and before being approved.

- You must create a new account as the OC or Canon you hold
It just keeps things simple for us, we don't want an odd split-personality thing going on.

- You must comment at least ten times a week.
Don't be fooled, I will have friends with me to track down how many comments you do per week. There's a limit because if you suddenly decide to not be active and just leave out of nowhere; that's just not right.

- If you leave, tell us.
Again, we here understand your situation you could be going through. After all, real life is our primary world we live in to follow and if you can't roleplay due to issues, just give us a note and will put you in hiatus :3

- We allow age 16, Ema, 18 Ema and so on
Yes, you can be different aged characters, but remember that you can't control that character with your two Canon character holding limit for manipulation reasons.

- Please Deviant Watch everyone
We all gotta be in the loop don't we? :3

- Any overly Dark scenes that happen during roleplay must continue in Notes
This isn't because of the members, this is because of passerby's who are unaware of how we work here. We have to look just as nice as any other plain account; so beware, if we catch you roleplaying in a dark way in comments we will warn you, perhaps even ban you.

- If you roleplay outside of the group, Do not do any dark roleplays
We don't need to be scaring anyone off. I think that's obvious...

- Yuri, Yaoi, Straight, it's all allowed~
However...! Remember that you can't force any couples on one another. But that doesn't mean it can't happen~

- There will be no harassment or attacks at anyone in here, period. If you have a problem, contact one of us co-founders by note and we will look into it right away.
There will never be an "ok" for attacks on anyone in this group. You have to remember this is now a family; if you're caught fighting over something trivial and idiotic, we'll try and help you two come down to a compromise. But if I catch a single person offhandedly attacking a group or harassing someone entirely, you will receive a warning, or just a straight out ban, depending on what the fight was.

- If you join, you cannot be a part of any other Ace Attorney RP Group on DA anymore. (If you're not in these groups, you're good to go )
Sorry, but there are multiple reasons for this. One, the rules already state above you can't do dark RP's outside of our group. Two, most other RP groups don't even allow that kind of thing because they're group is for ALL ages while we are for adults or mature minds only. Three, in most groups you can't get any comment boosts by being out of the group anyways. Four, most rules set by other groups contradict entirely with ours. So if you want to be a part of this Group, you have to leave theirs, that's just how it is. If vice versa, then you leave our group and join theirs.

- If you took the survey once and passed, you don't have to do it again.
Say for instance, you're playing Klavier but want to play an OC, if you suddenly want that OC to play on here and we know its you, don't worry about the survey, you will join automatically.

- No Deaths, its too confusing.
If a character dies, we'd have to make you clean up all of your journals as well as the others involved with the murder; just to have that dead character revived. So death is pointless. Its too confusing and would just cause issues. But know, you can hurt them as much as possible, even pull some limbs off, but they CANNOT.... Die. If you somehow die in the roleplay, we will take it as AU and say it never happened and just a "what if" story.

-  Comment Check is Every Monday
I guess in a sense this is my fault, I suppose I should have made a rule telling everyone that each Monday is Comment Check, either way, you still need to do five comments a week... No exceptions folks

~~Warnings:~~

Warning 1: A simple warning will follow you, but if you're good about the rule you broke after a month you'll gain the warning away; however; if you decide to break the same rule again after regaining the stand you were on before; we will see your ploy and immediately jump to warning two anyways.

Warning 2: We, the admins, will consider or not if you can still stay in the group. More then likely not, so I advise not reaching this stage. But if there's good reason you did what you did, you'll probably get past this. The limit to reach suspicions on this warning will sadly take half a year, once thats over with, you'll be back to warning one and as another month passes, you'll be off the hook.

Instant Ban: Immediate ban, this is self-explanatory.

Rules for warnings has been vastly changed temporarily due to negligence of five comments a week which has been changed to ten.  Any further warnings past this point are out-lawed and the person responsible will be banned on the spot.

Exceptions to the rules above

No Canon's can have an automatic relationship with another or OC
Only two people get the "ok" for this and thats and . These two are co-founders of the group and have also created a vast and complicated roleplay in how Kristoph and Franziska came together. I know it seems a bit wrong. Yet I have to give some leeway to these two. They, after all; were one of the first to help and cheer on this group. Plus, Ilze/MeiKaruma is far better at this group RP idea, since she was once in charge of a Ace Attorney roleplay group like ours. I know it seems unfair that no one can grab Kristoph, I mean, who wouldn't want him? He's an evil and insane bastard. But sadly, that's just how it is, other than that, this rule will still be followed.

You must send dark RP's via note.
As you know, this exists because we can't worry about DA. After all, I speak honestly for everyone who shouldn't be cybering in comments, that's just a big no anywhere. However. The exception in this is that as far as Dark Roleplays get, the only time I can say "Go to Notes" is during sex in general... If you're deciding to tie someone up, beat them.. Thats ok, but anything sexual usually just needs to go to notes. Of course, should you also go insane and torture them with loads of gore, I think it's best you take that to notes as well. Like I said, let's be careful of DA, but also people who are joining. We don't want to scare anyone off.

~Hiatus's Rules~

Having troubles in Real Life and Can't RP.
As I said before, we all have times we can't take the time to RP let alone possibly a dark RP itself thats causing bad memories to surface. Just ask one of the co-founders via note and we'll give you a Hiatus, which we'll place in the "Free/Taken/On Hold section." I have to place a Hiatus status there anyways.

I noted an admin, now what?
Create a journal, so that way everyone knows you're gone as well as the rest of the admins who didn't get noted for your absence.

How long can I be gone?
Half a year, why do I say that long? Because of college, exams, trauma's... Etc. It could take quite a while for you to come back and with such a wide variety of different people and time zones; we know it can become an issue. However; if you stay away longer then half a year, we'll be banning you the day that strikes past that sixth month. Its fair right?

Well I came back!
Note us once more of your return and we'll put you off Hiatus. Its great to have you back
